This kit can be used to greatly improve the performance of outdoor and indoor antennas or it can be used as a distribution amplifier. It is ideal for use with digital set-top boxes and works well with analog TV.
It uses pre-built modules and requires only a few solder joints to complete.
It is based on a pre-assembled PCB RF amplifier module which employs two low noise BFP67 7.5GHz transistors. The two stage amplifier has a response that extends from 50MHz to over 1GHz, and a noise figure of 1.75dB!. Its gain is between 26dB-33dB at the frequencies that would be occupied by TV channels 1-68. It can be powered from a 10-15V DC supply and draws around 25mA at 12V.
